| Instek General Warranty Policy | | Instek test equipment is warranted against manufacturer defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two years* with the exclusion of handheld instruments – one year warranty. Instek reserves the right to repair or replace all such defective products. Products must be returned to Instek with transportation charges prepaid and Instek will cover return shipping back to the customer only within the USA. All return products must be accompanied by a copy of the sales invoice and a return authorization (RMA) number. (This warranty does not apply to batteries, fuses and test leads or probes)
* Note: Instek GDS-800 Series DSO has a warranty period of three years.
* Note: Instek GDS-1000 and GDS-2000 Series DSOs have a warranty period of three years, except for LCD which has warranty of 1 year.. Limited Lifetime Warranty Clauses
1. In order to be eligible for GWInstek's Limited Lifetime Warranty, product registration must be completed by the purchaser. The warranty of the purchased product is activated from the completion date of the product registration at GWInstek or from an authorized distributor. GWInstek reserves the right to determine the eligibility of the product registration if the registration process is delayed by the purchaser for more than three months after the original purchase date. Satisfactory proof is required to claim the warranty; for example, the invoice from the initial purchase.
2. Validation of the Limited Lifetime Warranty is effective starting from the first day of purchase (please refer to the “ Limited Lifetime Warranty Definition ” section ).
3. The Limited Lifetime Warranty is for the original purchaser only. In the event of a sale or product transfer by the original purchaser to a third party, the warranty period shall be three (3) years from the date of purchase of the product by the original purchaser from GWInstek or its authorized distributors.
4. If the product is operated under a normal operating environment during the warranty period and a malfunction is not caused by external or internal self-assembly, GWInstek reserves the right to exchange components, repair, or substitute the appropriate types of products at its discretion.
5. All replaced parts will be brand new parts or recycled parts in mind conditions. They belong to and will be held by GWInstek. These can include but are not limited to; new components, modules, or substitute products for repairing.
6. When the product has exceeded the warranty period, warranty clauses, or is otherwise inapplicable to warranty ( please refer to the “After the Limited Lifetime Warranty” section), maintenance service, replacem e nt, shipment, and any other related charges might occur.
Limited Lifetime Warranty Definition
Limited Lifetime Warranty is defined as starting from the date of product registration by an original purchaser from GWInstek or from an authorized distributor. The Limited Lifetime
Warranty is terminated at the period ending five (5) years after GWInstek discontinues manufacturing the warranted products. Discontinuance of the manufactured product will be properly announced by GWInstek.
The Ambit of Limited Lifetime Warranty
Only the following GWInstek product models are qualified to be covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty; GDS-1000 and GDS-2000 series digital storage oscilloscopes which are registered and meet the requirements described in this document, especially the “Limited Lifetime Warranty Definition” section . GWInstek provides the Limited Lifetime Warranty to original purchasers only .
Other Exception Clauses
GWInstek guarantees its products against defects in materials and workmanship under limited conditions. However, under the following exceptions, GWInstek has no liability to provide warranty services for the repair or maintenance without charge.
1. Deficiency resulting from shipping.
2. Damages caused by accidental events, damages due to the human force or self-assembly, damages caused by negligence of maintenance or modification behaviors without authorized technical support.
3. Damages resulting from any natural disaster.
4. The appearance of a product due to dust, dirt and age, normal wear of mechanical components and accessories outside of the product itself; not limited to but including electrical wires and testing probes.
5. The LCD is covered by the limited warranty for one year ; for the battery, three months .
6. Products or its components exceeding the Limited Lifetime Warranty or normal warranty period.
Requirements for the Feasance of the Limited Lifetime Warranty
In order to be feasible to obtain repair or maintenance service under the Limited Lifetime Warranty, the product must meet the requirements described in this document, and most importantly the original distributor (representative) becomes the service center. The details are as follows.
During t he Limited Lifetime Warranty Period
1. Purchasers are responsible to pack the repair product in good condition and ship it to the original distributor /representative . Shipping charges must be paid by the sender.
2. If repair services are requested to the original distributor /representative , then the original distributor /representative will pay for the return shipping charge back to supported locations. However, if shipping is requested to specific locations other than supported locations, the purchasers must be responsible for any shipping charges, tax charges and any other additional charges.
3. If repair services are requested to a non- original distributor /representative , the service should be treated as exceeding the warranty period. Hence, the product owner is responsible for the round shipping cost, repair charges, potential taxes, and any possible expenditures.
After the Limited Lifetime Warranty Period
If the received products have exceeded the warranty time period or the lifetime warranty, GWInstek will still provide the related repair and or maintenance services. However, the owners of the products are responsible for the repair and or maintenance charges, the return shipping charges and any additional costs.
No Liability & No Promise Clauses
GWInstek will not be liable for the inevitable, indirect, or supplementary damages of the product purchasers or the third party users that are caused by its product deficiency; for example, loss of profitability, loss of sales investment, loss of business image or enterprise interactional obstacles. In addition, GWInstek has no liability for the deficiency of other apparatus, equipment or facilities caused by the operation of its product.
The above is GWInstek's most complete version of the Limited Lifetime Warranty policy ; these clauses may displace other oral or written versions of warranty policy. Except for the above described product warranty, GWInstek will not provide additional warranty policy other than what is described and claimed in this composition.

| Extech Warranty Policy Statement | | EXTECH meters carry a full one or three year warranty on parts and workmanship unless otherwise specified. PROBES, ELECTRODES and SENSORS CARRY A SIX MONTH CONDITIONAL WARRANTY. Extech Instruments Corporation warrants it's instruments to be free of defects in parts and workmanship for up to three years as specified by documents furnished with each product from date of shipment by authorized Extech Distributor (a six month limited warranty applies on sensors and cables). Authorized Extech distributors may replace defective product with inventory product after notification and authorization by Extech Instruments. If it should become necessary to return the instrument for service during or beyond the warranty period, contact the Return/Repair Department at 781-890-7440, X210 for authorization or visit our website (click on •Contact ExtechB and go to •Service DepartmentB to request an RA number. A Return Authorization (RA) number must be issued before any product is returned to Extech. | Protek T & M Limited Warranty | | | Protek T & M products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials to the user for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase (90 days for models priced less than $75.00). All warranty claims must be sent in to an authorized repair depot, transportation prepaid, and must be accompanied by a copy of the sales invoice, if a warranty. Protek T & M reserves the right to repair or replace all such defective products. All repaired or replaced units will be returned transportation charges prepaid. Products subjected to physical or electrical abuse, or if used in an unprescribed manner, are not covered by this warranty. This limited warranty does not apply to batteries or fuses. | |

| TPI Limited Warranty | | TPI warrants most products to the purchaser against against defects in material and workmanship for three years from the date of purchase. Please contact us, or consult the literature for a particulatr product, to verify the warranty period for any particular item.
Covered by Warranty: Repair parts and labor; or replacement of the product at company’s option. Normal transportation charges to the purchaser are also covered.
Not Covered by Warranty: Damages to the product which are the result of abuse, improper use or maintenance are not covered. Any other expense, consequential damages, incidental damages, or incidental expenses including damages to property are not covered. Transportation expenses to the company are not covered.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

| Rigol Warranty | | The following warranty applies to all Rigol products procured through the Rigol North America office and/or its’ approved North American representatives and/or distributors. Product purchased from outside the North American Rigol network will be serviced by the selling agents and not Rigol Technologies USA, Inc. - RIGOL Technologies, Inc. warrants its products’ mainframe and accessories in materials and technologies within the warranty period. During the period concerned, RIGOL guarantees the free replacement or repair of products which are approved as defective.
- The mainframes of RIGOL’ s products have a three-year warranty and the accessories such as probe and test pen (with the exception of power cord, USB and BNC cable) have a one-year warranty . In above-mentioned periods, any hardware or software error caused by quality flaws will be examined and repaired by RIGOL Maintenance Center or its authorized maintenance branch free of charge if the customer provides the warranty card and maintenance record card. RIGOL provides paid maintenance for products outside of the warranty period.
- The warranty period starts from the date of the valid certificate of purchase (receipt or invoice). If the invoice cannot be offered, the starting date will adopt the manufacturer’s delivery date.
- For in warranty service, RIGOL strives to attain fast turn-around. Normal repair time is less than 10 business days. For service that will exceed this time Rigol will attempt to provide loaner units to be used during the repair cycle. Final availability of loaner units will be at Rigol’s discretion. The transportation cost of return to customer will be paid by RIGOL. If the special transportation is required, please make contact with the RIGOL Maintenance Center.
- The warranty is void if:
- (1) Accidental damage occurs during transportation (please confer with insurance agency or transportation company on the compensation).
- (2) Malfunction or damage is caused by misuse according to warnings in the product documentation or using or storing in an environment outside of the specification’s limits.
- (3) Surface damage by manmade factors, like burn, distortion by force, etc.
- (4) Repaired by anyone who is not from RIGOL Maintenance Center or an authorized maintenance branch.
- (5) Accident damage caused by using a power cord or a power adapter not approved by RIGOL.
- Malfunction or damage caused by natural calamities, like earthquake, lightning strike, etc.
- RIGOL will do the maintenance after verifying with customers that the product is out of warranty, and return the repaired products after receiving payment for the repair cost.
- RIGOL assumes partial maintenance responsibility which is reasonable and operable, and refuses to accept any other responsibility for the damage caused by the customers’ wrong operation.
- Product with fault not covered by warranty should be transported to RIGOL Maintenance Center to have a repair, and the consignor will pay the transportation cost.
- Please contact with RIGOL Maintenance Center for any kind of special maintenance or service requirement.
